This stylish new member of the well-acclaimed scala rider product line is an outstanding Bluetooth headset communication system designed for sole riders.
With the new scala rider FREECOM 1, Cardo offers a highly durable Bluetooth connection to smartphones, MP3 players and GPS systems. The device’s remarkable design is compact and extremely easy to operate, has a full battery charge sufficient up to 13 hours of talk time and is both waterproof and dustproof (IP67).
With its slim control panel, the FREECOM 1 fits virtually all helmet types. The unit features a visually pleasing aesthetic layout that has been designed for a high level of intuitive use and comes with new 40 mm ultra-thin HD stereo speakers to provide sound that is absolutely crystal-clear.
With two Bluetooth channels available, it’s a breeze to connect the scala rider FREECOM 1 to your mobile phone, GPS device or to any music source for wireless A2DP stereo. With Cardo’s Parallel Audio Streaming mode, music is muted during phone conversations, returning automatically when the conversation ends, yet you may opt to listen to music while receiving GPS navigation instructions.
The system comes equipped with customizable Voice Control (VOX) for receiving or rejecting calls and the customizable AGC technology automatically self-adjusts the volume according to the riding speed and the level of background ambient noise.
Cardo’s SmartSet App is used for customizing and controlling the unit and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Configuration of the device’s settings as well as controlling the device from the smartphone is totally intuitive and very straightforward. Before hitting the road, the Cardo Community online platform offers useful software upgrades and can provide users with the option to customize the device from the comfort of their home.
