- Friends become followers: RISER is transitioning from having friends to a follower-based system. Two account types (private and public) will be introduced. Private accounts require a follower request, which you can approve or reject. Public accounts allow automatic following. Following is necessary to view user content, and you can block others in both account types.
- Changing your feed: Individual feed elements are undergoing refinement, enhancement, and an upgrade to the content logic. Public trip photos are now seamlessly integrated into the feed, allowing you to show some love by liking the pictures. The feed is now also tailored to prioritize trips that align with your interests. A revamped user suggestion algorithm is in place to recommend more engaging connections, taking into account factors such as similarities, activity levels, and location. Moreover, Trending tags have been implemented and are prominently displayed for popular photos, trips, and posts. These adjustments aim to elevate your experience, ensuring a more dynamic and appealing feed.
