Start With Your Head Measurement
Finding the right Venture size begins with measuring your head.
Grab a soft measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of your head, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) above your eyebrows. Keep the tape level as it passes around the back of your head.
Then match your measurement to the Venture size chart.

It Should Feel Snug Everywhere
When you first put on your Venture, it should feel evenly snug around your entire head.
Not loose at the sides. Not crushing your forehead.
Just consistent contact.
A new helmet will almost always feel tighter than the helmet you're replacing. That's normal. The interior padding and cheek pads will settle slightly over time.
What won't improve over time is a helmet that starts out loose.
When it comes to helmet fit, snug is good. Movement is not.
Your Cheeks Should Feel the Squeeze
Let's talk cheek pads.
On a brand-new helmet, they should press firmly against your cheeks. Some riders are surprised by this, especially if they're coming from an older, worn-in helmet.
That's exactly how it should feel.
The padding will break in. Your cheeks will thank you later.
What you don't want is empty space between your face and the helmet. If your cheeks can move independently of the helmet, the fit is too loose.
The Helmet Should Move With Your Head
Now try this.
With the helmet on, gently turn it side to side using the chin bar.
Your helmet and head should move together as one unit.
If the helmet rotates while your head stays put, you've got extra room inside. That's not confidence inspiring on the trail, and it's not what the helmet was designed to do.
A properly fitted helmet feels connected to you.
Try the Roll-Off Test
Next, reach behind the helmet and try to roll it forward off your head.
Don't force it. Just check whether the helmet wants to move.
A correctly fitted Venture should stay securely in place.
Simple test. Important result.

Check the Chin Strap
Once you've adjusted the double D-ring system, the strap should sit firmly under your chin.
Not loose.
Not choking you.
Just secure enough that the helmet remains stable when you move around.
Fasten it, tighten it, and do one final fit check.
The helmet should feel locked in without distracting you from the ride ahead.
Give Your Helmet Time to Break In
Here's a common mistake: sizing up too soon.
Many riders try on a new helmet, feel the snug fit, and assume they need a larger size.
Usually, they don't.
A new helmet should fit tighter than a used one. Over time, the interior materials compress slightly and conform to your head.
That's normal.
However, there's a difference between snug and painful.
If you're feeling sharp pressure points, persistent discomfort, or pain concentrated in one area, the helmet may not match your head shape.
