With both brands recognized for their strong sense of innovation, Schuberth and Cardo once again joined forces to offer up-to-date Cardo-powered communicators to Schuberth wearers across the globe.

This most recent partnership is built on the strong history between the companies following their work together on the world’s first-ever integrated communicator for the Schuberth C3, the SRC – which was a world first in the industry.

Innovation remains a key focus for both companies as they share a commitment to advancing technology and customer choice within the industry.

With Cardo’s market position strong - and growing - particularly where Schuberth is serving, it was a good fit to widen the reach to each brand’s markets and connect with broader markets.

Solution

Schuberth’s focus was on utilizing Cardo’s premium offering, recognizing its strong positioning and value within the market.

Using Cardo’s PACKTALK EDGE as a base, a fully integrated solution was developed to fit seamlessly within Schuberth’s range of ECE 22.06 certified helmets including the C5 Carbon, E2 Carbon, C5, E2, S3 and new J2 helmets.

A continuous dialogue between the Cardo and Schuberth team was important to ensure that the new unit was a true ‘plug and play’ solution.

The SC EDGE is IPx5 waterproof rated, has Cardo’s provide Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) connectivity, Natural Voice Operation, over-the-air software updates and a range of up to 1.6km.

The product will be available from Schuberth retailers as an OEM product.

Support

Working with Cardo meant 360-degree support for Schuberth across all departments.

The initial soft launch of the product was held at EICMA 2024 with both brands showcasing the new unit on their respective stands, highlighting the next chapter in the relationship between both brands.

Full product and technical training for Schuberth team members and Cardo internal sales team was held ahead of the launch.

A cohesive marketing and PR campaign between both brands ensured an effective launch. The suit of assets supplied by Cardo’s marketing team were utilized as well as regular social collaborations to maximize reach.
