Cardo Systems

First of all, this is an upgrade from Cardo SmartH Duo to Packtalk Neo Duo. Bot me and my son like to ride together so it was a must to be Duo; but when riding with 2 or more friends, Cardo system was always at help.
Installation: easy and simple, took me less than half an hour.
Setup: similar to previous one, through Cardo app. It looks like the Neo offers more features than SmartH unit.
Use: I cant go out and ride now as it is winter, but this one doesnt look so complicate to use. The buttons do the same thing (more or less). The difference (better than SmartH) is that you can detach the unit and charge directly on USB C. On the other unit (SmartH) the charging port was through a mini USB port. Another good thing is that you have OTA on the Neo. Overall, i'm very happy with my choice,

We purchased these for our family of 4 because we planned trips to big mountains resorts this season. Last year snowboarding we seemed to be the family that was always yelling at each other when getting our boards on at the top of the hill to let everyone know where we are going. A few times our youngest misunderstood the directions and end up at a different lift from the rest of the family. Using the Cardos has made it super easy to commutate directions and plans on the hill but even more fun than that we are enjoy chatting and hyping each other up as we ride do tricks/hit jumps all while enjoying our own music! The tech works great!

These are great communicators. Perfect for skiing with kids to keep them on track if they get ahead or behind. Also for pointing cool jumps! It’s also very funny to hear what they talk about while skiing. They are more expensive than a simple FRS Radio but the natural voice 2-way talk is worth it.

I recently bought a pair of Edgephones and tried them out at work, Land Surveying, my partner and I were very happy as we could listen to our own music while working. Very clear communication between us. We did lose each other due to houses and stuff between us when we were more than a block away, so line of site was key. I plan to use them for when I go on my snowcat with my dad, so we can talk over the noise of the engine and on the atv's in the summer.
So far very pleased with the headphones.

We absolutely love these for skiing. My 16 year old son loves them as he can listen to his music while maintaining the intercom connection. We ski a lot in the trees and all over the mountain and being able to stay in contact and confirm direction and location has made skiing so enjoyable for us. It also allows me to scope out jump landing areas and communicate back and just generally chat, joke and laugh while we are skiing together. I plan to buy an extra pair to use when we are skiing with my wife and/or daughter or with friends. Very good sound quality and good range even when out of sight. Very rarely do we lose connection and we’re all over the place taking different lines through the tree areas.

I thought i would give the pack talk a go because I wasn't satisfied with the other high tier helmet coms in my Shoie GT Air2 despite it being made as an oem comm system for this helmet. I trusted the HC speaker to be a good speaker. Boy was I wrong.
Totally disappointed in that system that begins with an S.
My son bought the Cardo and it sounded so much better and was far simpler to operate. So I took the plunge and sold the S system.
So glad I did. The difference is night and day and the sound is awesome 👌. Tha cardo even comes with instalation and set up instructions. Did not get that with the S system. Cardo can also be updated with a USB C. The S required a special dongle. I should have believed Fort 9 review and not taken a chance with S.
Comunicators are not all created equal and the differences are huge.
The only negative is the size. While not huge, if the could find a way to reduce it by a third, that would be outstanding.

There are not a lot of reviews on these units for tree work, I came here just to say WOW how clear they are and how good they are at canceling out the noises from the chipper and chainsaws. A man can be feeding brush in a chipper while another is running a saw and the other is running an excavator and all 3 can be heard clearly without yelling. This product is much better then any other brand on the market and has upped our production tremendously by being able to hear exactly what everyone is saying. They are also super easy to link up without no goofy sequence or extra buttons to push they can be linked up 2 at a time or 4 at a time or even more and one person leaving the group doesn’t effect the others (like other brands)

It was incredible to ski with my wife and be able to easily communicate on directions or coffee breaks!

The sound is very clear and the range between two people is good. When there is a curve or sight is lost, connection starts to break, which has room for improvement.

All in all, best gear investment for this season!

The Packtalk Pro was easy to install and synched up to my phone straight away.
The sound quality leaves my Scala G9 in the dust.
Easy volume changing with the scroll wheel.
Everything else I use the voice commands.
Most importantly: The kit arrived without the wired microphone. But after a couple of quick emails for Cardo to verify my recent purchase, a microphone was express posted to me and arrived in just a couple of days.
When you pay a small fortune for something, you expect great customer support.
I am very pleased to say Cardo take customer support to the highest level.
I am extremely happy with my purchase experience.

Took it out today and was blown away with the quality and functionality.
On the slopes at times u need to communicate information very quickly and this makes it so easy.
Never mind coaching the kids on technique in real time.
The ability to make sure everyone is safe and happy!
It’s literally an amazing thing to have on a ski holiday!
Best money u will spend!!

This is my third Cardo product. My first was a G4 that was a flawless performer and would likely still be working had it not been for taking on water from worn out rubberized buttons. No bother though because it was time to upgrade. Upgraded to the Packtalk duo pack in 2018 and its performance has been nothing less than perfect. These are still installed and in service. I have 100 percent confidence that they will be working for years to come. This year I bought a new helmet and hooked myself up with the Edge and I am very impressed. Every aspect of it is what I’ve come to expect from Cardo with a few surprises. There is a Cardo employee Mike Tole that has been there for more than ten years that I know of so that says something about the company as well. Being in the motorcycle industry myself passion for the sport is something that is important and Cardo has it dialed. Go Cardo or go without is my recommendation. Thanks Cardo!

I purchased a PacTalk Black in March of 2023. After returning from the 2024 Sturgis MC Rally, I couldn’t get any voice commands to work. If I went through my iPhone, everything worked. Cardo support thought it might be the boom mic or the cradle, but after using my wife’s identical PacTalk Black unit, everything worked fine. Cardo offered to replace my unit with the Pactalk Edge with the return of my Pactalk Black.

The new unit arrived in less than a week & everything works great!
I especially enjoy the new magnetic cradle. Very easy to use & it feels very secure.

I also had a half helmet Cardo speaker-cradle-mic unit which was now useless with the PacTalk Edge. Cardo offered to sell me a new unit for 20% off.

So Cardo, thank you for all your excellent customer service. Cardo will be my first choice when it comes time to purchase my next helmet com system.

It's compact, user friendly, top quality, and you don't know it's there until it makes a sound 😀.. I have used its mesh in 80km per hour winds on 110km per hour speeds and I have nothing but compliments.
